User Research Leader Suning Commerce Group

Ling He is the current user research leader of Suning.com. She joined the Suning UED team in 2011 and set up the user research team there. She has 7 years’ of user research work experience and 9 years of Internet experience. She participated in a lot of key projects in Suning including the Three-Terminal Project, Suning Yun Shop, Suning Open Platform, PPTV, Full Service User Journey. She was also the Gold Lecturer in Suning University and trained product, UED and other teams. She has a wealth of practical experience and unique insights on the product user experience and the full user journey of multi status. She is committed to maximize the value of research, to promote the implementation and value of research program. Her goal is to do valuable user research work.

Background information

There are many normative research methods in user research. However, with the rapid and sustainable development of the Internet, many of the traditional industrial products research methods need to constantly change and reconstruct. The value of user research is focused on "digging for innovation", "analysis of pain points". For every researcher, it’s an essential ability to propose valuable and practical suggestions. With the integration of online, offline, financial, sports, real estate and other areas in Suning, user research is facing more serious challenges. How to conduct multi-device user research on all touch points, how to use reverse thinking to establish research ideas were problems we have to tackle. In this workshop, I will first talk about the research experience, development process and the choices of research methods, and then elaborate on the research plan, the strategy, as well as the final implementation of the research goals. 

Outline

1. User research strategy on multi devices and all touch points (reversing research thinking + method);

2. User research strategy & product solution landing;

3. The "change" and “stay” of research strategy under internet retailing (combined with Suning process); 

4. Practices and discussions.
