Visual Design Director Tencent

Yimin Mo is currently responsible for the work of the visual group in Tencent FiT Financial Marketing Department. He has been responsible for the visual design projects including Q pay, WeChat overseas payment, QQ red envelopes, Hong Kong red envelopes, micro-loan, financial management, micro-gold, life insurance and other Tencent financial products. Previously he has worked for the marketing department and the 3G portal UI design center of NetEase Game. His 15 years of design career witnessed the start and growing period of the Chinese Internet industry, which is from the traditional web design, to official website design of games, and then to the UI of the mobile site and to H5 mobile design. Over this period, his thinking has also experienced changes; he’s more aware of the limitations of a single design channel, thus he’s determined to work for systematic design thinking.

Background information

In an era of content priority, convenient experience and flat design, we on the other hand have to emphasize on how to improve the security under the background of countless supervision and relatively serious financial nature. In this workshop, you can learn about how we design to achieve the balance to design the products convenient enough as a tool, complicated enough to meet all the regulations and catering enough for the emotional appeal. In this way, we avoid to shape the product characteristic stereotyped. We want users to get the emotional care in the design and feel the unique characteristics of the product characteristics, and finally these product can be run to achieve the user's viscosity and diffusion.
