Jiayu Cai is the Senior User Experienced Designer in Tang Consulting. He has more than 6 years of experience in brand and visual design. He has also worked in Pega Design & Engineering. He’s especially proficient at design thinking and creativity in practice and has rich experience in cross-industry brand design. Areas he has served including international fast food industry, automotive, intelligent wear equipment, smart home and so on. He has won the Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award and many other international design awards. Currently he’s committed to brand strategy and visual experience design in Tang Consulting, implementing design thinking to design solutions.

Facai wo is a senior user experience designer with 4 years’ experience in the industry. He is good at discovering the beauty of life and transforming it into a design language in his work. He promotes balanced design between business and beauty. He can quickly immerse himself in a new area, learning fast based on his past experience in other areas. So far he has managed and participated in projects from the following companies: IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), Royal Caribbean, Burberry, Chery, Bear Nio, Lenovo, Gree and Bright Terrace AR.

Background information

Faced with the era of consumer upgrades, many traditional industries are actively promoting the brand upgrade to meet a new generation of consumer demand and trends; International brands attempting to enter the Chinese market also face similar problem. i.e. how to adapt to the Chinese users and local cultural differences. Brand upgrade shows that the relationship between people and the brand is no longer just a unilateral supply of the brand, and it is not the Logo redesign of traditional perception either.


As with the technological breakthroughs, new use scenarios keep expanding online and offline. How to expand the brand value to various touch points through experience thinking so that users can feel the brand differentiation from their general experience will become the future topic for brand designers.


The workshop will guide you to explore the core values of the brand, and see the differences in its manifestation in product, behavior, environment and expression.
